This practical workshop is perfect for those who have a home espresso machine and would like to brew better shots and understand how barista technique affects taste in the cup. During the class, you’ll learn the basics of espresso extraction and work on things like grind adjustment, distribution, and tamping, learning on commercial equipment and Breville home machines. Our experienced trainers will guide you through the process, providing tips and tricks to help you sharpen your home barista skills. Students will receive a 15% discount on coffee and merchandise the day of class! Opo “No Pro” Latte Art Throwdown

Join us for our second annual Opo "No Pro" Latte Art Throwdown! 4:30pm: Competitor check in opens 5:00pm: Welcome and first pours Here's what you can expect: Competition: Up to 32 competitors will go head-to-head in a single-elimination tournament format. For each matchup, an Opo barista will pull espresso shots for two competitors, who will each submit a free-pour latte art design in a cappuccino, to the panel of three judges. The competitor with the most votes advances to the next round. The last person standing is declared the winner! Prizes: The top winner will take home a Baratza Encore ESP grinder, with other top finishers receiving swag, coffee brewing accessories, and Opo Coffee beans. La Marzocco is one of our official sponsors of this event, and every top finisher receives La Marzocco espresso gear!
